Goodyear OptiGrip
The Goodyear OptiGrip features a highly advanced tread design revealing new grooves and compound as the tyre wears down. The SmartWear Technology Goodyear have developed for the OptiGrip enables the tyre to retain excellent performance even when worn. In a test by TÜV SÜD Automotive after 12,400 miles the OptiGrip achieved better aquaplaning resistance than competitors brand new tyres. Even after 18,000 miles the wet braking distance of the OptiGrip was 20%, or 11 meters, better than other leading tyres (225/45R17; Car: VW Golf 2.0 Fsi)
